Riggins has warmed up the last few days, and the ice has been moving. Fishing holes are clearing out downriver, and there has been a few fisherman showing up. The ice upriver from Riggins is still solid in the slower moving spots. Bobbers and jigs are popular this time of year. Remember, your bobber isn’t going to move much with these fish being slow. Keep a watchful eye! With the water temps cold, I tend to lean towards much smaller baits than fishing earlier in the fall. Fish are more lethargic, so fish slow and be patient. If bait fishing, use small shrimp, small roe, or even just a little scent may do the trick.
