This weather! Wow. One day warm and beautiful the next we wake up to a foot of snow! All the ladies are in such great spirits though, not slowing them down one bit! Oh and we have been catching some fish! On 2/9 over in Hells Canyon, Kandie Malone on her second cast in the first drift caught her a 27.5″ Steelhead which at the time put her into 4th place! She caught this steelhead using the custom rod by Brian DeMond that she was the lucky winner of last year in our raffle we did. She said it was her lucky pole and that is for sure, she had not even fished with it yet and got a beautiful …

These ladies are still sticking with it despite some cold snowy days, and now dealing with icy river conditions. Nothing will stop them from getting on those boats and poles in the water! On 2/5 we had a great group of ladies out with some, although cold, but beautiful snow. Jean was able to still hook onto a hog of a wild fish! She was super excited and was a fun battle. They also were able to witness right up close an eagle come sweep the river and grab a fish. Was yet another great day on the water! See the beautiful video of the day HERE.   On 2/7 and 2/8 we had the Jamie Vaden boats, team Snatch ‘N …

WWB 2019 Update 2/1 to 2/3 Big Excitement and some Big fish too! We have kicked off our first weekend with fish in the boat and some happy ladies. We had some ice flowing at first so we did some fishing in Hells Canyon and Hammer Creek, then we decided to bring a couple boats back over and were able to break some ice and fish at Spring Bar. We are unable to get the boats to Vinegar at this point due to the road conditions. A lot of the ice has flowed out as of yesterday, but we have some snow in forecast and some really cold night temperatures coming so we will be continuing to monitor the river …

The day of the Wild fish on the Salmon River!

Administrator Fishing Report, General Blog Leave a Comment

Another epic day on the Salmon River! We had some clients that we take fishing every year and always enjoy them coming back. The trip leader, Dan, has family in Riggins he makes the trip out here all the way from Georgia and brings some buddies. The fishing was still a bit slow, but still we got into couple steelhead and a few big ol’ Bull Trout. The big Wild Steelhead we got landed though definitely made up for it though! Was very exciting! They were doing some prescribed burns in the area and it was a little bit smokey but made for some magical scenery, and the bighorn sheep are down at the river for us to view. Check …

Administrator Fishing Report, General Blog Leave a Comment

We just had our first trip out for the Fall Steelhead Fishing Season on the Salmon River. We took a small group of guys out from Eastern Idaho/Utah. It was a very cold morning but the sun came out and warmed the air and it was a beautiful day on the Salmon River. And, yes, we were able to catch some steelhead. Was a little slow going but caught some wild fish and a hatchery that our fisherman released oafter couple quick snaps. More steelhead are showing up so we’re anticipating a little more catching in the coming days on the Salmon, River of No Return. In the meantime, enjoy these beautiful pictures of the Salmon River and our day …
