This weather! Wow. One day warm and beautiful the next we wake up to a foot of snow! All the ladies are in such great spirits though, not slowing them down one bit! Oh and we have been catching some fish!
On 2/9 over in Hells Canyon, Kandie Malone on her second cast in the first drift caught her a 27.5″ Steelhead which at the time put her into 4th place! She caught this steelhead using the custom rod by Brian DeMond that she was the lucky winner of last year in our raffle we did. She said it was her lucky pole and that is for sure, she had not even fished with it yet and got a beautiful fish! Diane in the group was able to get get a trout that she was also super happy about, winning the Trash Fish Trophy of the day!
Rachel Eidal’s group also got into the Steelhead in Hells Canyon! A couple wild fish and a hatchery!
Ali Horn’s group had a blast on the river and also landed a steelhead!
Rolling into Sunday, Reesa Decker from the Thiel group got herself a 28″ Hatchery fish out of Hells Canyon and Kirstin Wheeler with the Hathaway group hooked into her first wild steelhead.
Into 2/11 steelhead mania Monday at Spring Bar! These girls got it done! 5 fish to the boat. Leslie Eisenbarth with a 24.5″ Steelhead and a 29.5″! This puts her in 1st Place for Most Fish! Marcy Grant landed a 31.5″ Hatchery jumping her to 2nd Place Biggest Fish! Charlene Widner put 2 fish on as well, a 27″ Hatchery and a Wild Fish, this puts her in 2nd Place Most Fish! What a day, ladies, nicely done!
Sarah McClain from Team Fish ‘N Chicks, reeled a Steelhead in over at Hells Canyon too, and it actually puts her in our Smallest Fish place, with 20.5′!
On 2/12 we had a great group of gals out with us, they had some fun and caught some steelies……and a stick fish, hardest reel in of the day! 😉
