Great past few days!! We may be starting to wind down to the end but hasn’t slowed anyone down we’ve had a lot of boats out every day! Steelhead and good times were caught, of course. Which reminds me, don’t forget about Fish Dance the awards ceremony on the 16th…at 7PM at Seven Devils!
A couple Biggest Fish leader changes through the weekend but no changes to our Most Fish. Ladies have caught more than one fish but has been a hatchery and a wild, so without being able to measure the wild is limiting those hatchery measurements! The fishing did pick up a little with the change in weather.
On Thursday 3/7
Casual Merritt from Andrea Yoakum’s group reeled in a BIG wild fish! And Theresa Dine’s with Laurell Lawson’s boat caught a whopper 31″ Hatchery! We had quite a few local girls out on boats on Thursday which is always fun when our community is joining in on the fun.
Friday 3/8
It was a fishy day, kind of a wild fishy day too! Cyndi Breshears from Rose Brooks boat caught a 27″ Hatchery and a wild fish! Jamie Breshears also caught a wild steelie. Melissa Swearingen from Dusti Rogers’ boat reeled in nice Wild fish. Cori Moore with Amber Jones’ boat also caught a Wild steelhead! See? Wild fishy day! 🙂 Vicky McNaul from Connie Giannini’s group reeled in a 32.25″ Hatchery Steelhead which had landed her in 4th Place Biggest fish but then she got bumped on Saturday 🙁
Saturday and Sunday
These were some good days too! Pat Rhode’s crew reeled in a couple steelhead, Pat caught her first steelhead that was a wild! and Jordan Love also caught her first one with it being 25″ hatchery! Valerie Uhlhorn’s boat snatched up 4 steelhead for the day and made a deer friend on the river!! Dana Miller reeled in a 34.5″ hatchery that slid her into 2nd Place Biggest Fish!
Monday 3/11
We had just one boat out on and they got into a couple steelhead! Team Castaways…Tracy Coffman reeled in her 23″ Hatchery in the first drift of the day and Kara Haun caught her 22.5″ steelhead! They also caught a heck of a good time!! They also caught some great pictures of an eagle grabbing a fish.
