Sunday 2/9
The weather took a bit of a change finally, had some freezing in the middle of the night which was needed! Throwing in just a little bit of sunshine and steelhead to the boat made for a good day. 5 boats were out at Hells Canyon, Spring Bar, and Vinegar Creek, with every boat catching steelhead again! The fishing has just been awesome!
Over in Hells Canyon, Shelby Duncan’s group (with a quite a few newcomers!) reeled in 2 Wild steelhead, they also caught a bunch of sucker fish, some trout and a sturgeon! Good day in Hells!
Popping back over to Spring Bar, Yecora Daniel’s boat reeled in a couple wild steelhead and Erin Hemenway caught a 29′ Hatchery!
Sheryl Rasmusson’s group ‘The Reel Vixens’ went to school with Captain Rob and got to have a reunion out on the boat, catching fish and a good time!
Jenny Staples boat also caught a couple wild ones with Mike and Tommy, Sarah McClain and Tonya Veches! Go girls!
Bre Hathaway’s group, Team Reel Hookers, Reely got it done! Kirsten Wheeler and Megan Christensen each landed 3 steelhead. Kirstin’s catches put her into 2nd Place Most Fish! Nice job. Leslie Daniels caught a 25″ hatchery and Shannon Sucher found herself a wild steelhead to reel in.
Monday 2/10
Sherri Potter and he group went out at Spring Bar and she caught a wild one. Heather Kovick caught her fist steelhead ever, a 23″ hatchery!
Nicole Hiler’s team, The Reel Strippers, sure found a spot upriver! They reeled in 8 fish total for the boat. Shelly Jenkins really reeled it in and 1st Place Most Fish with 5 steelhead for herself, they said she had a 6th on but lost it! She let a few others on the boat nab a couple too. Krisann Gatlin, Devynn Parker, and Stacie Burtis all 3 caught some hatchery fish.
Keep it up Women!! You’re awesome, we have a busy weekend ahead so stay tuned!
