Going into a couple days with a few boats out. One day was a beautiful, sunshiney day, the next complete whiteout blizzard!! Typical Idaho weather around here, but the river has stayed looking good for us so we are still fishing at home on the Salmon River. Sticking with the tune of the whole tournament so far, nothing is slowing these ladies down from catching fish!

Monday 2/18

Kim Daley’s group headed out with some winners from last year’s tournament aboard. Cindy Woyak is part of this team and she was our First Place Most Fish winner last year with 4 Fish total of 81.5 Hatchery inches but last minute she wasn’t able to join but she sent good fish luck with her girls, and I think it worked!

Nicole Funkhouser won 4th Place Biggest Fish last year with a 33″ Hatchery. She reeled in a beautiful wild one this year. Lisa Funkhouser-Decker (Nicole’s mom-in-law) was on her way to follow in Cindy’s fashion and she caught 3 Steelhead but 2 were wild and a hatchery of 22″ so didn’t put her in place. Nicole and Lisa even caught fish at the same time! Lisa didn’t even hardly fish until she came for WWB last year, now she is quite the fisher gal they tell us! Kim hooked a 29″ hatchery, Stephanie Coffey also reeled in a hatchery fish. Mart Siebertz had fun catching a pretty wild steelhead.

Out on Jessi Webster’s boat they got into the fish too. Jessi and her daugther Baylee both reeled in some wild steelhead. And sister, Kristen was on it! She caught 3 steelhead total and they were trying soooo hard for that 4th fish just no luck. She ended up with 2 wild fish and a 26″ hatchery keeper. The boat also caught some other fish too!

Jamie Springer’s boat didn’t have quite the luck with the fish, but they had luck with a really great time! Edie Corbus and Felicia Leckband both did catch couple wild steelhead. Danielle caught some trash fish and faced her fish holding fear! So,check out the hilarious picture below.

Tuesday, 2/18 had just one boat out.

So, let’s go into Debbie Talburt’s group. They had a wonderful day on the river as always, couple of these gals have been coming to WWB for quite some time!  Newcomer, Kallee Johnson caught 2 wild fish. Vickie Crosley was also lucky lady with a wild fish catch.
