We didn’t have any boats out for the tournament until Feb 3rd this year.

We were barely able to get on the river at Spring Bar because of ice, so we had Jonny and Rich fishing in about a mile section of river together but they still managed to find a few fish. We fished Stacy Jones 2 boat crew with Lori Hollenbaugh catching a 24.25″ keeper. Hessica Reid and Kelli Paddock reeled in 2 wild fish.

Going into Friday we had 6 boats out, the 2 still fishing small section at Spring Bar and the rest into Hells Canyon. Rusty had a a crew of local gals in the canyon, The Hometown Hookers, with Laina Walkington landing a 25 incher. Brian fished the Kasie Anderson group, a fun group of gals, they didn’t get into any steelhead but did catch some trout! All the other boats in Hells Canyon also caught some trash fish.
Cheree Bartram brought back 2 boats of girls again this year one went out with Captain Rob and the other with Jonny and Beaud. Cristy Standerfer-Schroeder out with Captain Jonny caught the same wild fish, TWICE in the same day, once in the morning and then in the afternoon!
Sarah Murray’s fun group of gals went fishing with Rich and Tommy, they fished hard but just couldn’t find any steelhead today. Thank you for coming ladies!! This group has 2 of a our long time fishing ladies!! Sarah and Michelle have been coming for over 15 years!!

Well, seemed Rob’s boat at Hammer Creek were the lucky ones today! They were the only ones to catch any steelhead and they got into them! 6 to the boat. Tori Hansen caught our smallest fish leader! Jessii Moser landed 3 wild fish putting her in the lead for Most Fish. Catherine Maguire also caught a 24″ hatchery.
Lindsey Love’s group had a great day in Hells Canyon with Brian and Mark aka Radar! Some trash fish caught and a beautfiul day!
Sarah Evan’s group were some first timers in the WWB tournament, they didn’t have their first timer’s luck but they had a great day on the river….and Grandma Mary took her first jello shot!! :

Amanda Thiel’s group fished with Rich and Paul and landed a couple steelhead. Reesa Decker with a wild one and Jewels Carpenter a 23″ hatchery.
Crysta McMaster’s group fished with Rob and Billy, Crysta herself caught a wild fish!
Over one Maleta Henry’s boat with Jonny and Beaud, Maleta was the one doing the catching! She caught 2 hatchery fish. A 23 incher and then a 29.25! Landing her in First Place Biggest and at the time 2nd Place Most! Nicely done Maleta!

Karen Owens group fished in Hells Canyon with Rusty and they reeled in 2 BIG sturgeon. One was 8ft 5in. They had a blast of a day even with no steelhead being caught they said!
Stacie Burtis’ ladies fished at Spring Bar with Jonny and Beaud landing 2 wild fish, although we are suspicious it was the same one twice again, different fish than the first time that happened but another two-timer! Elizabeth Brienza and Shanley Bake were the lucky ones to fight the fun native.
Over fishing with Rich and Brian was our returning champ! Kylie Gonzeles group, she won First Place Most Fish last year and also placed 3rd for Biggest! She decided to give some of her luck to her Aunt this year though. Erin Adolphsen landed 3, yep 3 hatchery fish to the boat! This slid her into First Place Most Fish for this year at 73.75 hatchery inches! Nice job Erin!
They also got to go to Vinegar Creek and watch Rich and Brian break out some ice, they didn’t get much done but able to open a couple fishing holes! Check out the video below!
