The ladies showed up to WWB 2023 and started shaking things up right away, even without the best river conditions. We were battling ice and record low water levels, resulting in us heading to Hells Canyon and a couple boats being able to get in downriver at Hammer Creek but only having a couple holes to fish in. But, those couples holes must have been just enough, stay tuned for that below! Thank you ladies, as always, for being able to roll with the punches and still have a good time and be determined to catch some fish. We sure appreciate it!

Our first day we had just one boat in Hells Canyon, Rachel Eidal’s group, out with no steelhead caught. They did have another go the next day at Hammer Creek as well, which was their tournament day but to no avail that day either for steelhead catches 🙁 But they did catch a few other fish and some great pictures!
Sticking around in Hammer Creek with Rob & Billy, Phoebe Gireth’s group reeled in 2 wild fish! Codi Cardoza and Emily Lyon landed those beauties.
Here we go over the hill! In Hells Canyon we had Diane’s Hardin’s group reeling in a couple steelies. Adele Martin with a wild one and Chris Weimer a 25″ hatchery.
Taylor Bradley’s group with Riusty and Colt always have a good time but they also landed in the leader board!! Taylor caught a 32.25″ Hatchery fish sliding her into First Place Biggest for the day and Karen Maples a 29.25″ Hatchery put her in Second Place Biggest Fish.

Headed into Friday, the girls heard there was fish to be caught and places to shake up, and that they did! Fishing at Hammer Creek with Sam and Justin, Kerri Tucker’s group had a big fish leader! Caren Fuller landed a 32.5″ Hatchery which slid her right into 1st Place Biggest Fish.
Rob and Billy were hammering it out in Hammer Creek with Felicia Coryat’s crew. Courtney Wilkerson landed 2 Natives, putting her into 2nd Place Most Fish.
Jumping over into Hells Canyon on Rich and Andrew’s boat, Megan-Starr Gepford’s group got really fishy! Megan herself reeled in a 28.25″ Hatchery which at the time landed her in 4th Place Biggest Fish. Jennifer Holbrook landed a hog of a wild fish! Rebecca Barrera also landed a native on the boat. Janet Starr went for 2! She reeled in 2 hatchery fish which put her at the top of the leader board for Most Fish with 49.75 hatchery inches total.

Over on Peyton and Paul’s boat, Amanda Kurtz’s gals landed a couple hatchery fish. and captured a really awesome video of Paul netting the fish!
Over on Amanda Thiel’s boat with Rich and Malachi, unfortunately Amanda couldn’t make it with her team but her daughter Avery came for the first time and got to reel in a sturgeon with some great pictures to show for it! Lindsay Randall also landed a 23 1/4 inch hatchery!
